It’s been more than two months since a woman was found dead on a quiet Wedgwood street.

Finally, the cause of death has been released. Maria Baril, 40, an Eastside mother of two, died as a result of an acute combination of ethanol, opiate and cocaine intoxication, according to a spokeswoman the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The spokeswoman said a manner of death could not be determined, or in other words the ME could not determine if her death was the result of natural causes, suicide or another reason. The spokeswoman said her office has closed its investigation. Police have said no foul play is suspected.
