REAL ESTATE ROUNDUP: When is the last time we saw this — homes selling for above asking price?
It happened in Wedgwood in May.
Before getting to enthusiastic about the market, however, it should be noted that while six of the 10 homes sold during the month went for above asking price, all were eligible for the recently expired federal tax credit because their contracts were signed in April. Also it should be noted that all in all, the 10 homes sold for an average of just above asking price — a cumulative of 101 percent above.
Here’s a quick snapshot of Wedgwood and View Ridge (information courtesy of Windermere agent Liz Nitz).
