Free bike helmets, tours of an operating room and the opportunity to ask questions about the health of your kids are all part of this Saturday’s Seattle Children’s Health Fair.
The event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is being touted as a “hands-on” community event directed mostly at kids age 3 to 8 but good for the whole family. Other highlights are expected to be crafts and music, the Teddy Bear Clinic (kids are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal for a checkup), and the Tooth Fairy (who will be available for chats). Quantities are limited on bike helmets and the child getting the helmet must be present to ensure proper fit.
