Seattle Children's expansion gets council OK

The Seattle City Council made it official, approving the expansion plans of Seattle Children’s, which over the next four years will add 350 beds in four phases to more than double its number of beds.

The council vote comes after an agreement was reached in February with the Laurelhurst Community Club, which has long objected to expansion plans by the regional pediatric medical facility. It also builds on the recommendations of the Department of Planning and Development and the Citizens Advisory Committee.

Our partner the Seattle Times has more details.
