Please don’t misunderstand: This is only a drill.
After a tremendously successful drill last October at the Wedgwood Hub, the neighborhood emergency gathering place activated again this morning for another practice run.
This time much of the radio activity was in Maple Leaf – the third-highest hill in Seattle and thus a good place to rig emergency radio antennas.
Similar exercises are being conducted in West Seattle, Broadview, Wallingford, Greenlake, Queen Anne and Magnolia.
