Met Market accepting donations for Ronald McDonald House through Nov. 30

Metropolitan Market Sand Point is currently accepting monetary donations of any amount at their registers to benefit families with seriously ill children living at the Ronald McDonald House.

Two other holiday-time fundraisers for the House include:

1. Great Wolf Lodge, Grand Mound, Wa. — dine in one of the life-size gingerbread houses between Nov. 29 and Jan. 4 for a $10 fee. 100% of that fee will be donated to the Seattle Ronald McDonald House.

2. Lease or buy a new Subaru from Eastside Subaru in Kirkland between Nov. 20 and Jan. 2 and they will donate $250 to one of six charities. The Seattle Ronald McDonald House is one of them!

Rain City Symphony Concert

Rain City Symphony will perform on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the University Christian Church (4731 15th Avenue N.E.)

The concert is a benefit for UCEF, United Churches Emergency Fund.

Performances are free for all audiences and donations for the fund raising will be accepted.

NEAT Holiday Event

All are welcome to North Seattle’s hyper local artist’s studio tour. Meet and talk with artists, see working studios and buy locally-made gifts locally, direct from the artists themselves.

NEAT (North End Arts Tour) is a free self-guided tour of six home studios with nearly 30 guest artists. Studios are located in the Green Lake, Maple Leaf, Wedgwood and Sandpoint neighborhoods.

This is a great opportunity to learn about different art forms such as glass, metal, clay, stone, photography, wood, fiber, watercolor and jewelry.

December 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

December 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

December 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Studio locations and passports will be found online.

Get your passport stamped at all six locations for a chance to win gifts.
