SPLASH Summer Sail and Paddle Fest

Come celebrate Puget Sound and your commitment to clean water!

Join Puget Soundkeeper at the first-annual Summer Sail and Paddle Fest in Seattle’s Magnuson Park on August 3, 2017 at 4:00pm.

Experience a near-full moon over Lake Washington from the deck of a sailboat, sailing dinghy, paddle board or kayak, followed by a community clean water celebration. Guests will enjoy boat rides, dinner, beer and other beverages, live music and a Puget Soundkeeper membership. All-inclusive tickets are $40 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Adult tickets are $45 at the door. Ticket includes on the water experience, dinner and one complimentary beer. Additional beers can be purchased for $5 each.

2017 Night Out

Night Out is a national event promoted in Seattle by Seattle Police Department Crime Prevention. It is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, increase neighborhood support in anti-crime efforts, and unite our communities.

Windermere Hosting Free Family Event at Green Lake August 19

Together with partners Seattle Parks and Recreation and the George Pocock Rowing Foundation, Windermere Real Estate is hosting the fourth annual Windermere Summer Splash at Green Lake on Saturday, August 19, 2017. This free, daylong event will celebrate summer fun and active lifestyles for young families.

The event will offer live entertainment, kid-friendly activities, food booths, free giveaways, and the opportunity for children and adults to try out canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding. There will also be a Corporate Cup Regatta that will see twelve Seattle companies face-off for the chance to take home the Corporate Cup trophy.

Live entertainment on the Penrith Home Loans Stage will include a Hoop Smiles hula hoop exhibition, a children’s iron chef cook-off, and martial arts demonstrations in the morning, and a Battle of the Bands competition for teen bands in the afternoon.

Amica Insurance Outdoor Movies at Magnuson Park

Amica Insurance Movies at Magnuson Park. Events feature big screen flicks, live entertainment, trivia and Seattle’s best food trucks.  2017 is the seventh season of the outdoor cinema at Magnuson Park.  Events run weekly on Thursdays evenings from July 6 – Aug. 24, 2017.  Presented by Seattle Children’s.

Cost: Event entry is $5 cash or $6 cc per person, at the event.  We’ll have event entertainment, vendors, activities and prize raffles. Five and under is free.

Parking: Parking is free in the park. There is a lot to the N of the athletic fields and one to the SE.  There is limited parking to the west of the athletic fields.  There is limited parking space so please carpool, bike, walk or bus.

What to Bring: Our outdoor cinema packing list includes low back lawn chairs or blankets, friends, family, dogs and money for fun and food.

Times: Seating opens at 6:30 pm. Event entertainment, trivia and activity times vary. Movies show at dusk after event entertainment.

Food Trucks: We’ll have Seattle’s best food trucks selling hot food,  snacks, kettle corn, sweet treats, ice cream and more.   Come hungry and get your grub on before the movie.  Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.

Trivia: Movie trivia gets you thinking before each film and offers the chance to win great prizes

Game Show Events: A variety of entertaining game show style events will take place for prizes.

Dog Friendly: Well behaved dogs and owners are always welcome.

2017 Wedgwood Community Picnic

Join your neighbors for a fun night of food and music at the 2017 Wedgwood Community Picnic! This year’s picnic will take place on Saturday, September 16 from 3 PM until 7 PM at Hunter Tree Farm.

Like last year, the picnic will feature food trucks, local bands, and activities for kids. And we are working on lining up the permits and volunteers necessary to have a beer garden!

The WCC  will be hosting picnic planning parties twice a month in July and August. If you would like to get involved with planning or volunteering at September’s event, let them know at
