Interested in starting a business? Three locations of The Seattle Public Library have a four-week workshop series called “First Step: Does Your Business Idea Make Sense?” It starts with a session on generating business ideas and personal readiness, and then helps you put together a business plan.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
- Week 1: Startup basics — ideas and personal readiness
- Week 2: Finding a market — product, marketing and market research
- Week 3: Getting paid — budgeting, sales and estimating costs
- Week 4: Putting it all together — cash flow, financial projections and breaking even
