Start a business: Workshop series at Seattle Public Library

Interested in starting a business? Three locations of The Seattle Public Library have a four-week workshop series called “First Step: Does Your Business Idea Make Sense?” It starts with a session on generating business ideas and personal readiness, and then helps you put together a business plan.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

  • Week 1: Startup basics — ideas and personal readiness
  • Week 2: Finding a market — product, marketing and market research
  • Week 3: Getting paid — budgeting, sales and estimating costs
  • Week 4: Putting it all together — cash flow, financial projections and breaking even

Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is recommended, visit www.cie-nw.org or call 425-243-7366. Plan to attend all four weeks for the best experience.
