Two hot topics are on the agenda for tonight’s View Ridge Community Council meeting: the recent disturbing burglaries and ramps on NE 70th Street.

Diane Horswill, crime prevention specialist for Seattle Police’s North Precinct, will talk about the burglaries, which included a couple in which the residents were home, and how to prevent intruders from entering our homes (sneak preview: She’ll no doubt remind people to lock doors and windows!)

Brian Dougherty of the Seattle Transportation Department will talk about the ramps, which involved more than 55 temporary asphalt ramps during the construction of corner ramps.

The meeting is at Sand Point Community Church and begins at 7 p.m.

Full agenda:
7:05: Diane Horswill of SPD
7:35: Brian Dougherty of SDOT
8:05: Morgan Collins, Sail Sand Point, highlights upcoming programs
8:15: Peter Shaw reports on the Communication Hubs Project
8:25: Reports from Council Committees and Treasurer
