Nearly two months after the Fresh store was robbed at gunpoint, police are still looking for clues.
An early person of interest in the case — somebody who lives a block away — is not believed to be the robber, said Det. Dag Aackervik of the Seattle Police. Det. Aackervik said detectives talked to that man but don’t believe it was him because his age (about 40) was double of the man described as the robber by two witnesses.
In addition, Det. Aackervik said the man, who was fully cooperative with police, has no criminal history.
Det. Aackervik said police do have some evidence from the scene but no video. He also said the crime does not fit a pattern of any crimes in the area that police know about. He said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information, can call the Seattle Police North Precinct at (206) 684-0850.
