7 pm October 13. Aaron Mahnke. The World of Lore: Monstrous Creatures. Now at U District store. Tickets through brownpapertickets.com – one ticket admits two; one book. Writer, host, and producer of hit podcast Lore, Aaron Mahnke, shares with us his beautifully illustrated exploration of mythical creatures.

7:00 pm Oct. 25. Gabrielle Union’s Real Life Book Club Tour – We’re Going to Need More Wine Stories That Are Funny, Complicated, and True. U District store. (HARPER). Admission requires purchase of her book from University Book Store. Store. Actress and activist Gabrielle Union discusses her new book, We’re Going to Need More Wine. Union shares a powerful and personal collection of essays about gender, sexuality, race, beauty, Hollywood, and what it means to be a modern woman.

7 pm Nov.9. Jeff Goodell. The Water Will Come. U District store, Free.
Author and Rolling Stone contributing editor Jeff Goodell discusses his latest title The Water Will Come. Goodell has written that within a lifetime, Miami as we know it today will vanish. From island nations to the world’s major metropolises, our coasts will drown in the rising waters.

7 pm Nov. 8. Pastor Carl Lentz. Own the Moment. University Temple.  Ticketed, one ticket includes one book and admits two. Leader of the Hillsong Church NYC—an 8,000 member community in the heart of Manhattan—Carl Lentz is 30-something, covered in tattoos, and gives sermons in a leather jacket and jeans. His unorthodox style has earned him celebrity followers and thousands of congregants.

7 pm Nov. 12, It Devours!: A Welcome to Night Vale Novel, by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor. University Temple. Ticketed ($21.99 includes copy of the book). Joseph Fink created and co-writes the Welcome to Night Vale podcast and touring live show with Jeffrey Cranor. Cranor has written more than 100 short plays with the New York Neo-Futurists, co-wrote and co-performed with Fink a two-man show.

7 pm Nov. 15, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Come and Get It!, by Ree Drummond. University Temple. SIGNING ONLY. Ticketed ($29.99 admits one person to the signing line and includes a copy of the book). Ree Drummond is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Pioneer Woman Cooks, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food from My Frontier, and The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays. Her cooking show, The Pioneer Woman, premiered on Food Network in 2011.

6 pm Nov. 15, Bonfire, by Krysten Ritter. U District Store. SIGNING ONLY. Tickets are $26 each and include a copy of the book and admission to the signing line. From actress, producer, and writer, Krysten Ritter, a psychological suspense novel about a woman forced to confront her past in the wake of small-town corruption. Ritter is well known for her starring roles in Marvel’s Jessica Jones and in Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, as well as her pivotal role in AMC’s Breaking Bad.

7 pm Nov. 16, Endurance, by Scott Kelly in conversation with Andrew McIntosh of the Puget Sound Business Journal. University Temple.  Ticketed ($29.95, admits two and includes one copy of the book.) A memoir from the astronaut who spent a record-breaking year aboard the International Space Station–a candid account of his remarkable voyage, of the journeys off the planet that preceded it, and of his colorful formative years.

7 pm Nov. 17, Total Cat Mojo, Jackson Galaxy. University Temple. Ticketed ($25.99 admits two and includes a copy of the book)   Jackson Galaxy is a cat behaviorist and the host of Animal Planet’s hit show My Cat from Hell. He is the coauthor of the New York Timesbestseller Catification: Designing a Happy and Stylish Home for Your Cat (and You!).

7 pm Dec. 7. What United Us. Dan Rather. Presented by University Book Store at University Temple, 1415 NE 43rd St., Seattle

1 pm, Dec. 3. Oliver Jeffers. Here We Are. U District store. Ticket is $19.99 through brownpapertickets.com, includes admission for the family and one copy of the book. A painter and picture-book maker, his titles include Lost and Found and How to Catch a Star. His books have been translated into more than 30 languages; a film short of Lost and Found has won more than 60 wards.
